Name: Dalyn Cornell
Age: 15
Home: Alberta, Canada
Passions: Writing, reading, dreaming, singing, dancing, laughing, smiling, drawing, talking about philosophical things, hanging out with friends, being outside, fighting for what I believe.
Favourite book: Oh there's many. Here are just a few; The Mortal Instruments trilogy, Maximum Ride, The Lightning Thief quintet (I believe thats the word for it), books by Tamora Pierce, Airborn and Skybreaker (haven't read the third one yet), The Obernewtyn Chronicales, etc etc.
Favourite movie: Hmm. Titanic. The Dark Knight. Fantasy/action/romance stuff. Those are the best.
Some extra stuff: Well, I'm kinda weird (okay, a lot) but thats the way I l;ike it. I like to wacth Gossip Girl - I find it riveting - and I LOVE reading! I read practically nonstop. ITs my favourite thing to do, besides writing of course. I write practically nonstop too. Half the time I think my hands have a mind of their own. I like to draw, even though I'm not very good at it and I love to see things that people have drawn or painted themselves. I think thats true magic. I believe in a whole lto of weird junk and I don't have any one set religion, though technically, I'm supposed to be Catholic. But I find religions to be extremely restricting so I refuse to conform to any particular one. Does anyone else hate the word 'conform' as much as I do? What a gross word. I'm in grade ten this year but I'd so much rather not eb in any grade at all. School is just so pointless, you see. We won't need any of what we learn in the new world (and if you've got that one figured out, high five to you). All in all, I'm a weird half-hippie girl who lives in her own dream world and would pretty much die if she couldn't write. But being weird is the only way to go my friends. Who wants to be normal and conform? Gross word, gross thing. Gross all around.

Love forever. D

The First One

Well, I must say, all I can think about is that I need to finish the silly eighteenth chapter, which is making me wnat to stick my head through a wall in frustration. To anyone out there who's ever been through writers block, good on ya! To anyone who hasn't, praise God for it and hope you never deal with it.
To get my mind of that tragic fact, I've been watching a marathon of Gossip Girl, which is pretty distracting - exactly what I need right now. I rented the first four discs of the second season (there are seven in total) and I've been slowly working my way through them, which takes a whole lot longer than you'd think. Each episode is forty-five minutes or so long and six of them take four hours. Jesus, out of sixteen, thats a lot. Lets do some quick math stuff here... that equals about ten hours of shows. Well, I'm sufficently occupied until my writers block fades. But lets just pray its soon. Not being abe to write feels so WRONG.
My parents are at a wedding tonight, one that us children weren't invited to. If any of you reading this are kids too, you'll know how it feels to be left behind because people think you're silly and immature. That gets on my nerves. Adults judge everyone by the actions of a few. If I had a dime for every time some stuck-up adult told me to mind my manners and behave (another word I loathe) I'd be rich by now. Adults think they know it all. But they don't. Did you know, by the time you're two you have about two trillion brain cells activated? But by the time you become an adult, you have only about half of that working? If we go by science, technically, adults should be considered the stupid ones. Not that anyone is stupid, but I'm just saying.
Whoa, didn't mean to get onto that rant there. Thats just something I do. I tend to get onto my high horse and start going on little rants like that sometimes, which something annoys me. But, really, adults are SO close-minded. The new world is going to be a horrible shock for them. I'm going to enjoy the looks on their faces when it happens.
To everyone who doesn't understand what I'm saying when I talk about the new world, no, I am not completely bonkers (though my grasp on sanity is questionable at the best of times). One of these days I'll explain what it means to you. But not today. I'm rather bored of writing this and I have a craving to get back to watching Gossip Girl (can we say addicted?). It left off at a cliff-hanged and I'm not so good with those. Usually, they make me wnat to tear my hair out at the roots.
So austa la vista my chums. And I believe I spelled that wrong. Oh well. What cna you do?

Love forever. D
