Fallen Angels, Chapter 22Chapter Twenty-Two: Old Friend "True friendship cannot be destroyed. If a friendship is capable of ending, it is because it never truly existed."Fallen Angels, Chapter 22
I was laying lengthwise on my bed in my cabin, my feet at the top and my head at the bottom, propped up on my elbows so I could look down at the floor. Daniel was laying vertical on the floor, his head on his arms, almost directly under mine. I could feel the cool metal of the Spellstaff digging into my side, but I didn't want to roll over. Somehow, that feeling made me much more aware of everything around me. Despite the fact that it's the midd

Fallen Angels, Chapter 21Chapter Twenty-One: The Heavensent "Whenever you have efficient government, you have a dictatorship. And when the government is not efficient, its even worse."Fallen Angels, Chapter 21
The House of the Heavensent wasn't even half as grand as the Castle of Stars. In fact, much less than one half. Maybe not even one fourth. It was two floors, made of jet black stone with wooden doors painted black and carved with what looked like hieroglyphics, though I wouldn't know. Personally, I'm shocked the words weren't in Latin, like everything else in the entire freaking Wingchild world is. Rows of thin, medieval windows stared down at us, the glass black fro

Fallen Angels, Chapter 20Chapter Twenty: A Crowded Head "We are never alone, night or day, light or dark."Fallen Angels, Chapter 20
"This is where you're staying?" Gemini asked doubtfully. "No offense, but I figured the children of angels would be staying in, I dunno, somewhere nicer than this." "We were," Nick muttered bitterly. "Until the Dark Angel decided to break into the place." "Its safer here," Trina added. "For now, anyways." "Wait, what?" she asked, giving me a startled and annoyed look, like it was all my fault she didn't know this.

Fallen Angels, Chapter 19Chapter Nineteen: Gemini "Sisters are a part of each other. Their bond is one of the strongest around."Fallen Angels, Chapter 19
"This is the Dark Angels lair?" I asked doubtfully, arching my eyebrows and looking unimpressed. "It is sort of a letdown," Trina put in, her eyebrows raised as well. "After all that we've heard of him," We were standing on the street across from a rundown old warehouse with boarded up windows and doors, except for one in the front, which was probably guarded with at least three Hornchildren on the inside. The walls were once red brick, but now they w
| Name: Dalyn Cornell Age: 15 Home: Alberta, Canada Passions: Writing, reading, dreaming, singing, dancing, laughing, smiling, drawing, talking about philosophical things, hanging out with friends, being outside, fighting for what I believe. Favourite book: Oh there's many. Here are just a few; The Mortal Instruments trilogy, Maximum Ride, The Lightning Thief quintet (I believe thats the word for it), books by Tamora Pierce, Airborn and Skybreaker (haven't read the third one yet), The Obernewtyn Chronicales, etc etc. Favourite movie: Hmm. Titanic. The Dark Knight. Fantasy/action/romance stuff. Those are the best. Some extra stuff: Well, I'm kinda weird (okay, a lot) but thats the way I l;ike it. I like to wacth Gossip Girl - I find it riveting - and I LOVE reading! I read practically nonstop. ITs my favourite thing to do, besides writing of course. I write practically nonstop too. Half the time I think my hands have a mind of their own. I like to draw, even though I'm not very good at it and I love to see things that people have drawn or painted themselves. I think thats true magic. I believe in a whole lto of weird junk and I don't have any one set religion, though technically, I'm supposed to be Catholic. But I find religions to be extremely restricting so I refuse to conform to any particular one. Does anyone else hate the word 'conform' as much as I do? What a gross word. I'm in grade ten this year but I'd so much rather not eb in any grade at all. School is just so pointless, you see. We won't need any of what we learn in the new world (and if you've got that one figured out, high five to you). All in all, I'm a weird half-hippie girl who lives in her own dream world and would pretty much die if she couldn't write. But being weird is the only way to go my friends. Who wants to be normal and conform? Gross word, gross thing. Gross all around. Love forever. D |
